Leg pain, back of thigh and calf area?
For the past few days one of my legs has been hurting. It is not a bad pain, just something I feel in my left leg while sitting. laying ect..
I am not one to run to the doctor for everything, so please give my your opinions... I am only worried because I am 30 years old and my mom has had blood clots. I have looked at the back of my leg and there is no red mark, it is not swollen. Just tender in some areas. It is not muscle pain. Anyone have something like this? Is it worth seeing a doctor?
thanks for your help

One thing that happens a lot is that the achilles tendon on your muscle tightens up to give you pain in your muscle back there. It can happen when there has been some type of trauma to the muscle or it felt abused, some overstretching or something. To get rid of this pain you have to free up the achilles tendon and here's how to do that:
Achilles tendon:
While sitting and your leg on your lap, take both thumbs and place them side by side at about ankle height on the tendon on the back of your leg and apply pressure hard and hold. After 30 seconds slowly raise your toes up as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your foot there for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

go back to your doctor and insist on getting a referral to an orthopedic specialist, i wouldn't mess around with the body especially when it's telling you that something is wrong.
