I'm a classical archaeologist. Yes, of course things exist without proof. I can't tell you all we have discovered just within my crew, and previous generations had no idea such things existed! For instance, we unearthed a type of tool in South America last year that was so highly advanced for the time it existed that it was previously believed to be impossible. Before it's discovery, it existed. We just hadn't found out about it yet.

    yes, it is.

scientists archaeologists...etc can't dig up or find everything or any proof on how our world got here but its here.. right? there is no way for the world to get here by a bang.. they can't prove it and if u put a small thing of dirt on the ground and put a boom on it a world will not appear with ppl and living animals.. and if you see all the monkeys we have in this world they never changed into humans and how wold the monkeys even get here? I hope I make sense haha. :)

Something maybe but not a god! Since all the evidence proves the claims for one false!

Academia states that in the absence of proof of the existence of something it must be deemed not to exist until verifiable proof is found - thus god is held not to exist pending some sort of verifiable evidence.

The bible is what is called "Faction" A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not!

There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!

There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!

He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record?

Even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!

Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter!

At best he was an amalgam of those others but almost certainly never existed!

The Roman Emperor Constantine produced the bible and he was a pagan not god! He took the Jewish religion and basing it on the Mithras religion, organized it into Christianity and then into the Holly Roman Catholic Church!! Not in Israel or any of the countries of supposed origin but entirely ITALIAN!

Not one word of it is contemporary with the period and was not written until several hundred years after the period the story is set in!! How did the apostles write their books more than a hundred years after they would have been dead?

What a wonder full disinformation and deception campaign he waged against his Jewish enemies by turning them into his invented Christianity - so good in fact that Christians are still following the deception to this day!

The first person to provide a shred of verifiable evidence for God will become world famous and mega rich!! Ain't happened yet and it never will!

So how does this primitive belief survive? The answer is simple and very down to Earth

Acceptance of a supernatural claim tends to promote cooperative social relationships. This communication demonstrates a willingness to accept, without skepticism, the influence of the speaker in a way similar to a child's acceptance of the influence of a parent. By encouraging this kind of behavior where the most intense social relationships occur it facilitates the lack of skepticism and deters more open minded thinking.

They are christian, Muslim or the other religions depending where they were born simply because they were indoctrinated by their parents as very young children. They will go on to indoctrinate their own children and those will go on to indoctrinate their grandchildren!

Atheists have the intellect to see through the conditioning and escape into the real world!

Agnostics have the intellect to see through the conditioning but lack the courage to throw of the conditioning entirely.

Sadly Christians are still held firmly prisoner by the self perpetuating brainwashing!

Sure, The Snuggligin of Rigel VI, the Magorphlants of Deneb II, the Glorb of Fomalhaut V. The fact that I have no proof of their existence doesn't mean they didn't. On the other hand, I would be an idiot if I had a plosive belief that they did without such evidence, as I just made them up.

Hey John, that is called Oxytocin, look it up.

    Yes, it's possible.

And even if proof exists, for example, fossilized dung, if nobody looks for it, the result is the same.

And evidence might be falsified so that it looks like proof but isn't.

But it's also possible for people to believe something/someone existed, without having proof.

No, there is not any longer, any more suitable than for different gods that were proposed by potential of mankind. There are arguments for his existence; there are even "proofs", that are extremely in basic terms logical arguments for his existence. yet sturdy, verifiable information...isn't there. If it were, you may listen about it loudly and typically.

    Without known proof? Yes.

    Without any proof? Yes.

Without any proof having ever existed? No.

When a mother gives birth to a precious newborn baby, she feels an overwhelming bond and love for the child like she has never known before. Where did this love come from? Is her love tangible? Can she physically see this thing called ‘love’? Well, no. She sees her baby whom she loves, but love itself – she cannot see. Does the fact that her love is unseen diminish the fact that her love is real? Of course not. The same applies to trust in the Love of God we have never seen. God is love, and we feel His love, we sense His presence, we see His miracles and we trust His Word.

    when is something considered proof?

To exist is proof in itself

I just had an idea. It existed How can you prove it, if i didnt tell you?

  • 1 decade ago

Yes. We can't find human record for every single human who existed or find the bones of every human who ever lived.
