Ramadan: What are some things that grant you patience?

Assalamu Aleikom everyone,

I just wanted to know the different acts or thoughts that you like to do when you need patience the most. I personally like to remember the stories of our prophets (peace be upon them all), but I know there are many other ways :)

And today theres a new Islamic lecture if you're interested in joining: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=752580724#!...

May Allah grant us all patience as it is the most mentioned virtue of the Quran.

Jazakum Allah Khair~

Wa alaikum salam. Some things that will grant us to be patient (1)in the Qur'an Allah insrtructs us to be patient so we should obey to Allah 's commands (2)we should follow the patience of Yacoob prophet who had long illness as stated in the Qur'an and he always made dua to Allah (3)in surah Al Falaq Allah says that Allah will be with the patient people (4)angriness is disturbed by syaitans so we should avoid it because we are not the friends of syaitans by controlling our lusts. (5)we should have the opinion that positive situation are more than the negative situation we have (6)we should look to others who are worse than us (7)we should be optimistic that bad situation will be solved with hard effort and dua in the near future so we should keep be patient (8)we should think that life is never flat and our faith/iman is up and down and (9)we should convince that Allah will help us at last insya allah

I am not a patient person. I go with the flow if things are concerning only me. If they are not concerning only me there are always enviromental controls.I pay attention to them.. like waiting in a doctor's waiting room..when you are impatient you cant walk into his woom because there is his secretary asking " hey, what are you doing?" then I say "ops, sorry" or they she may call the guards.

on the other hand if I am impatient about buying something for the house I walk out get there fast and buy it right away although it is raining outside.

Dua, because sometimes at the moment of anger/stress, you may say/ do things you didn't mean.

and sometimes it can get out of control.

but at the time if distress/anger, when you make dua immediately even if its just from your heart, you know that no one knows how angry u are except Allah and the only one that can help u control it is Him, and you'll automatically feel the respond. <3

    walaikumus salam warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu...... :-)

Same with me. I use to remember the hardship of our Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him), and his companions during their and also the stories of all the Prophets of Allah who also experience so much hardships but they stayed patient and continued their mission of calling people to worship "Allah, One true god alone and never male partners with Him". People mocked at them, laugh at them and ridiculed them as other people are doing to Islam and Muslims now a days. So we just have to be patient insha'Allah and one day we will all get the true Justice that we deserve insha'Allah. Alhamdullillah..

    Allah says in Qur'an:

"And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule."(6:10)

"Be sure We shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods, lives, and the fruits of your toil. But give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. Those who say, when afflicted with calamity, 'To Allah we belong, and to Him is our return.' They are those on whom descend blessings from their Lord, and mercy. They are the ones who receive guidance." (2:155-157)

"Verily man is in loss, except such as have faith, and do righteous deeds, and join together in the mutual enjoining of truth, and of patience and constancy." (103:2-3)

    May peace be on you.......

    waleikumussalam,

jazakAllah khair for the question. Patient is a habit. it won't come all of a sudden- you have to practice it! just like any other thing you do on a daily basis- sometimes you forget but as soon as you remember you regret your forgetfulness and try again.

e.g. For many of the users it will be patience with ones parents- sometimes they say/do things you dont like- but we have to practice to be patient especially with them...if we are successful then their duas are with us...and inshaAllah jannah will be easy to attain

May Allah swt enable us all to be patient.

between the optimal places in Jannah BQ: This one: "Allah is the sunshine of the heavens and the earth. the occasion of His mild is almost a area of interest throughout the time of that's a lamp, the lamp is interior glass, the glass as though it have been a pearly [white] celebrity lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil might fantastically much glow whether untouched via hearth. mild upon mild. Allah classes to His mild whom He wills. And Allah provides examples for the human beings, and Allah is understanding of all issues."

Patience, is something you need to learn and adapt.

This world is full of test by Allah s.w.t.

We have to accept it, how to accept it? by patience.

remember, someone who patience, will be rewarded
