Approximately how much would it cost to replace a windshield?
I have a 2001 Hyundai Elantra and I need to replace my windshield sometime before my next inspection in October. I need time to save up for this which is why I'm looking into it now. Roughly how much this would cost including parts and labor?
Thanks for the help!
It was caused by a pebble that was kicked up from the road. It started as a tiny crack and split all the way across the windshield this morning. And yes, I do have insurance. But if the cost is going to be less than my deductible or close to it, it won't be worth filing a claim. That's why I'm trying to do the research ahead of time. I need to decide how to handle this.

What caused the windshield to be cracked or broken to begin with? If it was weather related and you have comprehensive insurance (which covers weather and nature related incidents) then call your insurance company. Even if you have a deductible it would be worth it to file an insurance claim. If it were on my car and it was weather related my insurance would pay 100% because I have no deductible.
