Yup. You can make a certain amount. I work only about 14 hours now and get SSDI.

I asked SS just how much I could make without messing up my benefits. They told me that I could earn about $1400. Then, when you consider that I get $1088/mo SSDI, not much to live on. If I get a job that pays enough to live on .... I loose the MEDICARE and, in all likelihood, my SSDI all together. The I start to pay for Medical Insurance. Hummm, what shall I do? What SHALL I do?

Before you go hog wild on this job thing, check with SS.
