Should I have told her ...?

Question

I was at a party where I got into a pointless conversation with an acquaintance about foods. This took place next to the buffet table. I mentioned that I don't care for capers, which inspired her to list all the foods she hated with much emphasis on liver. As I listened, I bit my lip to keep from laughing because as she expounded upon how gross liver was, she was scarfing down crackers heaping with pâté. Should I have told her she was eating liver? What would you have done?

That's pretty funny. I would have told her: " and by the way you DO know that that's liver on those crackers, right ?  " and then I probably would have burst out laughing.

Yes, you should have told her but if she really thought liver was so gross then shouldnt she have closely inspected the items on the buffet table before loading her plate.

I would have told her just to see her reaction, then I'd've laughed in her face. Unless the lady was a vegetarian. If that was the case, I probably would have told her right away and felt bad for her. Heh. (:
