How much would you charge to babysit 3 boys 6, 8 & 12?
I was asked to babysit for a discount on rent but I don't know the average charge today. About how much should my discount be per hour of babysitting?

I usually get anywhere from 6-10 an hour for babysitting.
If the kids are easy, and you're just watching them and making them food, not actually entertaining them then go for about $6, but if they're full energy and you're doing a lot of hard work, go up accordingly.

Well..a lot of it depends on what the person can afford. And a discount on rent is pretty amazing.
Personally, I charge 3 dollars an hour per child. So that would be 9 dollars an hour. You might be able to bump it up to 10!

Four bucks an hour (that is, if they allow you to raid their fridge a bit/eat dinner or lunch with the kids). If it's just straight babysitting, no food in sight, then six dollars.
