Want to know how many Gods we have come up with in our time?

Use your intellect. The Creator of this perfect universe is just One. Otherwise there will be so much chaos and update of creation if the Creator is more than One. And He can't be like His creation. He can't be a human who is needy and who dies, idol, statue, images that you can buy in store and etc. he don't have to become like a human because He already know the best for His creation. And it's only Him alone Who can give attributes to Himself. He says in His last Book, the Holy Qur'an:

Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,

Allah, the Eternal Refuge.

He neither begets nor is born,

Nor is there to Him any equivalent."[112:1-4]

Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursī extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.[002.255]

Allah literally means One God, The One and Only. I invite you to search the truth, read One God's last book for us then make your own choice if you want to accept it or not. God has given you intellect and free will so it's up to you whether you use it rightly or wrongly but be prepared for the result. The instruction manual is already given to us yet if we reject it, it is our fault not His.

And Allah says in Quran:

We did not create heaven and earth and everything in between them as a game. If We had desired to have some amusement, We would have derived it from Our Presence, but We did not do that. (Qur'an, 21:16-17)

Every self will taste death. We test you with both good and evil as a trial. And you will be returned to Us. (Qur'an, 21:35)

and also, why hasn't any1 come up with a new god more recently....

I think gods were just something for people to do back then, they didn't have tv etc.... so role playing believing in god was fun hahahahahahahaha, but then it caught on and people really believed.

I duno, I can't explain why it started, some explain???? WITH PROOF hahahaha?
