Does anyone find it funny when some creationists dismiss evolution "because it doesn't make sense"?

It astounds me since it's probably the most backed up theory in science and makes perfect sense with no overly confusing parts.

As a physics student, that makes me jealous. We know far less about gravity than evolution yet you don't see people dismissing it. Gravity isn't even the on par with evolution. The way we think it works is completely mindblowing and tough to get your head around and yet we have no idea why it works like that.

I went to a physics talk today presented by Dr. Stephen Myers, the Director of Accelerators & Technology at CERN about the Large Hadron Collider and it was amazing but fairly indepth. Our whole classical model of physics depends on the Higgs Boson being found but if it isn't, we're even further from the end as before.

Us people in other fields of science can only wish for a unifying theory which makes half as much sense as evolution. With physics, we don't even understand gravity, let alone a unifying theory. We may be centuries from one.

The evidence for Evolution (This is from my own words as SOME People, Like to cite that I cut-n-paste from other sites and can't think when They themselves do it, but personalize it and disguise it I found this out but cut-n-pasting key words and Googling it, Still is Plagiarism and hypocrisy, but seeing as they have a skewed sense or morality, it is understandable)

The evidence for evolution is and has been interpreted from a Philosophical and ideological Bias, THAT alone destroys it, They employ a False Dichotomy, meaning the evidence HAS to be this or that But IT cannot be God,

In The series of Below Listed Videos, Lee Stroble a FORMER ATHEIST Honestly and Objectively did his own research without the influence of a pre-set world view and Contaminated by a Hostile anti christian Philosophy and ideology.

I suggest watching them from an Unemotional Objective point of view and consider the Possibility of the fact that Evolution teachers have lied to you for More Philosophical reasons than for Pure truth of Science, Ohh I know, some people will answer with all these Long winded answers trying to sound all smart with walls of texts and links and think if they sound intelligent it has Validity, Fact is it doesn't, Don't be fooled by high-sounding words from Fools,

It's funny to me that Christians have huge opinions on the truth of evolution, yet the people who came up with it are SO MUCH SMARTER than us. How can we attempt to comprehend it. And yet people argue against it like they know what they're talking about. And Stephen Hawking shakes his head... Oh wait...he can't do that haha.

Do theists give up every time something gets too confusing? I sure hope not, evolution is not simple to the intellectually compromised, but it isn't completely incomprehendible. If children can get their heads around it, theists, with their blinkers on, have only got themselves to blame if they can't.

I bet those who don't want to understand that evolution is an observational fact, like magnetism, can't even grasp electricity. It is fear, they are taught to fear that which seems beyond them. However, with a bit of open-mindedness and allowing one's freedom of thought, understanding processes in the physical world which are far more interesting than metaphorical beings.

Human's have their heads around literature, it's the physical world beyond ourselves that we don't fully grasp, admittedly, which is exciting. Instead of being excted about the after life, how about we all get excited about life itself, study it, observe it, theorise nd investigate, no compromise, no fear in a higher power, just fully embracing one's life.

I find what you're doing fascinating and I'm glad to hear free-thinker's opinion on the observational facts. The only reason people are dismissing it, and are choosing not to see it, no matter how much we try pointing it out to them, is because it i a threat to their way of life. The less adaptable, and have a fear of drastic change would oppose something that uproots their very foundations and heritage.

I can imagine the difficulty, but break throughs aren't just bein made in biology and physics, politics has advanced (since the bible was first written - no one bothered), psychology and human behaviour studies - linked with biology - all giving us new insights, modern more efficient and cooperative life skills, morals and values. People havn't stopped caring, people are constantly advancing on what we already have. It just needs to be embraced.

Sometimes. I usually get frustrated when creationists who know nothing about evolution who then dismiss it as "garbage" while listing all the reasons why creationism is true. If they have studied both sides of the argument and still choose to dismiss evolution, then whatever...let people have their religion. Evolution totally makes sense, if someone chooses to dismiss evolution, it should not be on the basis that "it does not make sense" but rather something else.

It's difficult to make people understand something when their perceived personal security depends on them not understanding it.

Creationists would feel frightened if there was no god, which they think Evolution being real would imply. Hence they are afraid of considering Evolution honestly. This process actually happens below the conscious level so they do not even perceive it themselves.

Edit: Lightning - I agree that's hilarious. Almost as hilarious as people who think having a historian talk about someone whom they have never met somehow demonstrates that person's existence.

Edit 2: Lightning - There are many counterpoints I could make, but I realize this would only sidetrack from the original topic of the question. You will not hijack this question to talk about an unrelated issue.

Part of the problem with your argument is that we don't see the effect of evolution in our daily life. We don't see what are described as evolutionary changes in our everyday life. We do, however, see the effect of gravity in our everyday life; throw a ball up in the air, it eventually falls back down to Earth.

I don't dismiss evolution; I don't know nor care, nor does its validity or lack thereof have any effect whatsoever on my faith. What I do say, however, is that no science will always answer every question.

    it doesn't make sense lol

you dont see people on class " oh whats up i just evolved its been tough" what evolution just stopped because it got bored where do animals come from then . let me guess dolphins evolved from what giraffes a hippo we all evoluted from king kong right ? evolution does not make sense

I am happy in the knowledge that there will eventually be a working unifying theory. The human race will get there if it doesn't destroy itself first.

Evolution is quite complicated and difficult to understand therefore it must have been god that did it.

By that reasoning I think the large hadron collider must also have been built by god because I have no idea how that works.

And for that matter I don't understand how my XBOX works either so I reckon god must have created that too.

When you complete a puzzle but there's one piece missing it means you've done the puzzle wrong. I don't believe in creationism and I don't believe in evolution which is fatally flawed.
