What do you think of the ♀ name Isla Madeleine?

→ Isla is a variant form of the masculine name Islay, a Scottish island. Madeleine means "woman from Magdala".
→ On the UK top 100 list for 2009, Isla is ranked 30 (1908 girls were given the name), and Madeleine is unranked.
This name combination was in my dream last night and has been in my head all day, just wondering what everyone thinks of it. It won't ever go on my list, as I already have Viola and Isobel as my top 2 girls names and they're too similar to Isla. But otherwise, I do adore it.
Also, as someone who lived in France for a year, I know Madeleine is more traditionally pronounced [mad-uh-LEN] and this is usually my preferred pronunciation, but it was being said the [MAD-uh-lane] way in the dream.

Well ρяєтту♥ ğяєєи♥ єуєš♥, I thought it might be because of India-Madeleine from The Model Agency (the Channel 4 show) but it may have been from someone on here; don't recall seeing it though :P And I thought it was common here too, but it's not on the list for 2009, nor is Madeline or Madelyn. Madison and Maddison are though!

I love the combination Isla Madeleine. It's pretty and flows really well. How strange that it was in your dream! I know someone on this site with a daughter called Isla Madeleine, is it possible that you may have heard it from her or seen it the name on here at some point?
Also, I can't believe Madeleine was unranked! I live in the UK and I thought it was a really popular name nowadays.

Isla Madeleine is nice!
I love the name Isla/Islah. My favorite combos for Isla are: Isla Rose and Isla River. Many don't like River as a girl name but I do and it's not so bad as a middle name plus the name Isla is plenty feminine to make up for it.

Feminine, pretty and sounds nice together.
Isla is a really nice name for a girl and Madeleine is a classy, traditional pick for the middle name to balance it out since Isla is fairly different.

I really like the combination Isla Madeleine. Isla is so pretty and feminine and Madeleine is really elegant and classy.I could imagine a really cute blue eyed blonde little girl with this name.

I actually really love it. Madeleine has been a favourite for a few months, and Isla is just so different, yet it's not weird or 'trendy'. I do like it.

I like it a lot, but I like it pronounced as "EE-sluh" instead of EYE-luh. It's really hard for me to see "Isla" and pronounce it "EYE-luh."
