Thumbs down for facts?

Do you find it rather futile to answer questions with opposing and easily researched facts and get multiple thumbs down?

Is this not proof that a certain unnamed political party isn't going to let facts get in the way of their entrenched opinions?

    I'm pretty used to it.

You know you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

You can lead a libbie to facts but you can't make one think.

It's worse when you post the exact same fact as someone with an opposing political viewpoint (nearly word for word) and they get a thumbs-up blizzard while you get thumbed into the gutter.

Some times, the truth is not what someone wants to see. Too many people here thinks the opposition is retarded, but what they don't understand is that they don't understand. Everyone believes something for a reason.

I get it ALL THE TIME... You can lay out the facts, have proof several times over , it could slap them in the face and BAM.. thumbs down... Its either trolls or libs who just can NOT accept an honest answer or someone that differs from their own opinions! The thumbs down do not bother me... what bothers me is that it shows we have a lot of illiterate people out there that don't care and many of them are young and it truly scares me that these people will be running the country some day... Im not scared for myself, but for my children and grandchildren...

I also dont take this personal... this is a time killer butthead... at 55 yrs old I surely do NOT let Y and A affect me.. I just happen to be on vacation as I work.... what about YOU?

edit.... oh yea... I get blocked as well which makes me laugh cuz when they block ya, you see just how many accts they have *L* because they all come up blocked on mine ...

The problem with "facts" is there is always another "fact" to counter it, especially when it concerns politics. Too many facts can and are interpreted in different ways.

And how do you know about the thumbs down (or thumbs up?) Do you answer a question and then go back to check the reaction to your answer? WHY? Are you so insecure, that you NEED to see positive reaction to what you say?

As for the facts, you'll NEVER change the minds of committed liberals and obamabots. You can produce all the facts you want, but they'll die defending their dear leader.

Very few "facts" are absolute; meaning they can be skewed to suit whatever opinion the provider has.

But no, I don't care about thumbs down on my answers. This is just for fun anyway.

Yes, using facts can get you a lot of thumbs down.

If you want to earn best answer for a question its best to agree with the person asking the question and tell them what they want to hear.

you mean Republicans? I've been posting facts for a long time and get tons of thumbs down...

like about the REAL cost and effectiveness of universal health care and REAL waiting times for the U.S. and other nations... and comparing infant morality and life expecancy rates...

EDIT: see, three thumbs down ALREADY!
