Why people don't think that religion is for one's self?
And try to persuade other people that his/her belief is the right one and can be really enthusiastic about it.
>>with "one" I meant the believer
>>I'm trying to fing out the basic feeling behind that, or the aim, or whatever you think it is.

I can't answer this question without saying the ones who are examples of their specified faith with no need to persuade are true to what they believe.

I think that is because whenever someone truly believes in something, they feel the need to tell others about it. It's just like when a kid knows the answer to a question in class, they raise their hands very excitedly and just have to let everyone know what they know. Sometimes, the kid is totally wrong, but that still doesn't deterred them because it's right in their head. If they still believe they are right, even in the face of evidence proving otherwise, they can get defensive about it.
On the other hand, just because someone enthusiastically talks to others about their beliefs does not always mean they are 'pushing' their religion. They just simply want others to know.

As my pastor was a Philosophies of Education professor, I was taught by him to look at things a certain way. As I understand Christianity, it can lose sight of an objective purpose; God's subjective purpose is adopted as my objective purpose. So what I learn with that is; my servitude is for God first and foremost. Yes, it was to help me to come to Him. But along the way I am taught to make the emphasis on Him; God has to be cooperated with in this walk with Him.
As for other religions, they were not the ones I was drawn to. I understand the religion I am in as being the truth, so I didn't have to try out ALL the waters of religion in order to satisfy my intellectual and spiritual needs.
I have reason why not to be in those other religions since becoming Christian. And I am satisfied with the results, no one else has to be, but I am.
