What do you think of the names ♂ BOSTON and ♀ FLORENCE?
Boston
→ male
→ a place name
Florence
→ female
→ meaning "prosperous, flourishing"
What do you think of both of them? SO and I are thinking of adding them to our lists, most probably as middle names.
Florence is also a place name, but it's a legitimate baby name too. It is from the Latin name Florentius or the feminine form Florentia, which were derived from florens "prosperous, flourishing".

I'm not such a fan of Boston, it seems really trendy to me, but I absolutely adore Florence. I'd totally love to use it because it was the name of my husband's great grandmother, but it's also his sister's middle name and he doesn't want to use it. But if I chose our children's names on my own, Florence would definitely be right up there.

I love Florence but I'm not a fan of Boston. Florence is a traditional name, whereas Boston seems more recent. They're different styles, but both could definitely work as middle names.
Good luck!

Used to love the name Boston and had it on my list for awhile, but then there was this annoying reality show guy named Boston and it turned me off the name. Now when I hear it that is all I think of. Hate when someone ruins a name for me. As I'm sure that won be a problem for you then I would definitely add it to your list because it is a good name.
Florence is not a fave of mine. It always makes me picture a nosey, gossipy, old lady. look up Hyacinth Bucket from 'Keeping Up Appearances' and you'll see what I imagine.

To me, Florence is a place name (Italy) and I'm not fond of place names.
Using a place name is a lazy way for someone to pretend they're creative.
Even tho it was a person's name before being the name of one of the art capitols of the world, I'm still not fond of it becuase it sounds like someone from my grandparent's generation.
When I see someone using Boston as a name, I just cringe.
Again, I'm not fond of place names.
Using a place name is a lazy way for someone to pretend they're creative.
Also, I think of Boston Bull Terriers - cute dogs that wheeze a lot.
Then there's "Dirty Water" a song about Boston's River Charles.

nope...sorry...I dislike both names but especially dislike Boston.

I love them both individually, but I don't really think Boston and Florence fit together? They're so different from each other. But it's your opinion that matters. If you like them, go for it :)

No. Not a fan of place names. (Florence is okay; it was my grandmother's middle name. Too old fashioned for me, even though "old fashioned is in")
Boston--no way
