How to reinstall Drivers?
Hello, I recently installed Windows XP because my Vista's edition's internet wasn't working. However, Now I notice that 6 drivers aren't working on the XP, and they're pretty much essential (graphics card, sound device/speakers, etc.) When I open the device manager, the icon is a question mark, and when i try to reinstall the driver, it says it cannot locate a suitable driver. I don't have the Vista OS anymore, since XP wiped it out. How do I fix this?

You have to download the appropriate drivers from the manufacturers' web sites.
If you can't figure this out yourself, you'll need to find someone who can.

Since there is a major difference between Vista and XP, you're going to have to download the drivers again. In some (rare) cases, if you in the device manager right-click a hardware component and select "update drivers" it'll go out to the internet and find the most suitable driver for - granted of course you have the NIC driver installed.
If you have a brand name like Dell, you can go to their support website, plugin your asset tag (on the back of you computer) and Dell will come up with the drivers associated with the type of computer.
If you have a home built one, then most likely you'll have to open the box, take note of the components model number or part number (video, NIC, sound etc) and go directly vendor site. Each site has a link call 'support and drivers'
Another tip - find the driver to your NIC first - this way you can access the internet from the affected computer.
good luck,
