How to remove an over cleaned spot in my carpet?

So, I decided to clean my carpet today with some carpet shampoo, put I didn't put it all over, only where the stained and dirtiest spots were. But in the middle of my carpet (my carpet is beige) i put a tad too much, and now it is very light in colour, and it doesn't match the rest of carpet. It looks worse than it was before. The spot is not completely dry as I have tried rubbing it with a damp cloth.

Is there any way I can remove this overcleaned spot in my carpet? Apart from the doing the same thing to my whole carpet. Thanks in advance.

There are several specialty products for cleaning stains. DO NOT BUY THESE - especially Oxy - I have heard horror stories about it. None of them worked. They were all over priced, and never really cleaned the mess. They would either saturate the stains or mask any smell for a few days - granted you don't have a smell issue :). The trick is to use something that will break down the stain. If the chemical is soapy, you are not breaking the stain apart. Instead you are just saturating it in the carpet. Believe me, I used everything you can think of. If you are just soaping a stain up, the stain isn't going anywhere.

I now use one thing and one thing only to clean my carpets. Genesis 950 is an all purpose cleaner that actually breaks the bond of stains. It is designed to work with water to actually get in the stain. Once it does this, it fully breaks it apart. And the nice thing is with 950 it doesn't matter how long the stain has been there. I have used it for A1 Steak Sauce, Tomato Soup, drinks, and more. You should be able clean this stain using a bucket with warm water and a sponge. If not, using 950 in a steamer will pick up all of the stain. If you are not breaking the bond like 950 does, you do not get rid of the stain. Look at any other questions posted on here about stains. They all say they cleaned and scrubbed but the stain is still there. It's cause other products don't break the stain apart.

Another plus to the product is it is environmentally friendly and non toxic.

I found 950 at a garage and bought it originally to remove paint that was stained in my carpets (6 months after the paint had set in by the way). Since then I have used it for nearly every cleaning dilemma I have had. Pet urine and vomit, a shattered bottle of A1 Steak sauce in the living room, muddy footprints, spilled drinks, you name it. If you can not find any near you, it is worth buying on line at www.amerikalstore.com

the best solution i thought of was i rented a rug doctor from Home Depot for $25. i had a lot of pet stains(if you know what i mean) all over the carpet. so i decided to put boiling hot water inside the machine and a little bit of clorox bleach. it worked! i was so impressed with the results! every time i emptied the machine black water would come out.(ew) the carpet looked so good! the stains haven't come back since i did it last weekend! i hope this helps!

The most effective way is by using white vinegar in removing the stains, if not buy carpet dye to bring back the color of your carpet.
