Clothes question(s), answer pleeze.?

All my life I've worn pretty nondescript clothing - you know, Walmart flare jeans, running shoes, etc. and now I'm 16 and I'm ready for change. I like Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters clothing (however out of place I felt in there) but everything is suuuuper expensive. Are there any brands (online or otherwise) that have clothes mostly under 40 bucks while also being trendy and unique?

Also, since I'm essentially asking you to play dress-up with me, what are some staple clothing items I should have with me? Redesign my wardrobe. Tell me how many of one thing to get. I live in a pretty neutral area (cold winters, hot summers, etc.) and I'm willing to try leggings, dresses, skirts, heels (not too high) etc.

If I had a style at all that I'd like to morph into, it'd probably be between that creepy artist look and something casual and flowy, like boho or something. Thanks in advance.

Well if you want to be artsy/boho (which i love because im kinda sick of that classic aeropostale cheerleader thing) you should try old navy or TJ Maxx or Forever 21 (Faith 21 if you are plus sized).

TJ Maxx has really fancy designer clothes from top designers that make mostly artsy/boho/classy clothes ranging from 10$- 100 most clearance items are $40 and under. Even non clearance items are under 40 usually. They also have cute shoes from $20-$80 remember these clothes are designer not cheap aeropostale stuff.

Forever 21 is sooo awesome and im soo frickin mad they dont have one in my area!

Old navy like always had stuff under $40 really cute stuff to they have everything to floral and light to artsy to sporty i'm sure you'll find something that tickles your peach!

Forever 21, H&M, Wet Seal are pretty cheap

Also check out Zara, and Asos and Topshop. These places are a little more pricey, and Topshop is only in the UK.

uhhm, I like some skater stuff too, like stuff from Zumiez..

I also shop at American Apparel, Modcloth, Threadless, American Eagle, Free People, Nordstrom rack (discounted designer stuff), Winners.

ebay, if you can trust them... and vintage/ second hand stores can have some cute stuff for cheap. you just have to go to one in a decent part of town.

You could also look at Designer stuff and make our own clothes.

    Check out shopstyle.com for inspiration

    Hope I helped :)
