truth or urban legend?

A friend told me that if you mix two of the name brand sugar substitutes together and add a drop of water that a flammable reaction would occur. Truth or urban legend?

If true what products would those be?

thanks

Probably a myth is they are both sugar substitutes. There are many other chemicals that are capable of such a feat that definitely look like sugar.

Note: To respond to other answers, don't be afraid to experiment :) But be safe and do research, if you plan to :P Without experimentation science nor society will be where it is today

    I hope not lol.

True story: When my brother was little he took an old butane cigarette lighter and pressed the butane gas release under his bottom (he was wearing blue jeans) when had the urge to pass gas (fart) because his friend told him an actual flame would ignite. Well, since he was just a kid he tried it and guess what? A significant visible flame ignited.

PS: I know that aspartame actually transforms into formaldehyde in the human body.
