The canon ip4850 is a great printer, quick and very easy to connect to almost any network.

here is a quick review of this printer:

    other printer to consider:

I own a printing company and we use a large array of printers. some printers are far better for one specific job.

Also please be aware any printer will struggle to produce good photo prints on normal paper. Photo paper is always best to use for photos. It is developed to take the higher volume of ink used during photo prints. If you were to print a photo onto normal paper at your printers highest quality setting, chances are your normal paper will become soaked and the image will be very very dark and just look terrible.

You can also get fantastic image quality on printers that print at 2880 x 1440 you just have to use the right print settings. I would advice you have a good play with the printer once you get it to test the best settings for your needs. Remember what ever printer you get, the printer profiles eg. high quality photo or whatever it lists, have probably been developed for that company's specific photo paper. Some of the oddest profiles produce the best qualities. In our print studio we have many large format printers and often end up using synthetic paper profiles in favour of photo paper profiles. Just trial and error testing.

    Hope this helps

This Canon PIXMA MP560 printer is very easy to connect to a wireless network and prints very quickly and quietly. I was actually a little shocked at the quality and speed of this printer. One of the reasons I also chose this printer was because of the non-OEM ink available for it at amazing prices. I don't particularly mind paying for Canon ink, but I also like having the option, keeping the cos per page very low. This printer is BIG, but I don't really mind though, because it is attractive. I like it more than a lot of the solid black printers on the market that are dust magnets. I have had experience with a lot of printers and I am so glad I chose this printer, I really feel it was a great bargain.

That is a very good printer for the money.

It has a DPI of 9600 x 2400 which is very good.

This is a professional review of it and their reviews are usually spot on.
