I get depressed at night for some reason?

Hi guys, so I've been noticing this happening a lot lately and idk why, but it seems like I always get depressed at night. I really don't know, I haven't experienced anything tragic at all (i.e. death of a friend or family, no bullying, no trauma). I just want someone's opinion on what this could be or something.

I wanna say it's that I don't really share anything with anybody (even to my parents), since I don't really want to share anything with anybody. I'm guessing this would be a bad thing? Also, it has been like this throughout the passed year or so.

Also to clarify, it's not the depression where I want to kill myself and think I'm worthless; but I have some type of depression where all this worst case scenarios occur in my head (friend of mine dies or watching someone kill someone) <---I don't think that's normal and idk why that happens so...can somebody help please?

There are types of depressions and anxiety disorders. Some only happens in spring, morning or middle of the night. So many different type, it's hard to keep track of sometimes.

Most typical depression is like this. Since the moment you wake up till late afternoon, you're depressed. Then you'll start feeling better around night. But there are depression exact opposite of it. It might be something you're suffering from.

Depression is something anybody can have. Could be not enough sunlight(like seasonal depression) due to not enough serotonin or simply chemical inbalance.

The best way to find out what's wrong with you would be to consult a doctor. That would help you the best.

Take care and I hope you'll feel better soon!

There are many things that could be causing your nighttime depression! I possible reason is that you could be staying up a bit too late for your body to handle to it cope with the change in time by producing stress or in your case depression. Try getting a better night’s sleep or consider starting a regiment of sleeping aids. Another thing that could be affecting you is your diet. Do you eat right before heading up to bed? Because that has been known to cause bad dreams and mood swings at night. It is important to keep in mind that depression is a medical condition and can become very dangerous if not treated properly. If these symptoms persist then seek medical help!
