Why do people from england make fun of american's ascent yeat listen to mostly american music?

I don't think anyone makes fun of American accents there.

I spend most of my time in the English Football (soccer) section, and none of them make fun of the American accents. They do listen to American music, but they prefer British bands like Coldplay, Keane, Oasis, Travis, The Verve, Radiohead, Muse, etc.

But the main question is:

Why do some Americans make fun of Canadian accents and still listen to our music?

but I'm english and I love an american accent so you should not say anyone from england.

In music every ones accent seems to disappear look at cheryl cole....

your being a bit unfair, you think you "perfected it.."

Anyway just embrace being called a "hick" I'm sure their secretly envious because if you came to england girls would be falling head over heels for you.

I dont know. Its hard to tell accents in most music, so something we may think is american, could be british. A big example of this is Greenday. Most of time people lose their accent when singing (does that mean americans dont have accents?) and its hard to tell whether or not their from somewhere else. Greenday is from england. Sick Puppies is from Austrailia. You can tell in Sick Puppies older stuff that theres an accent, but in their new stuff, its gone.

Depends on the Genre;

American Modern Metal is said to be better than British Modern Metal

American Pop Music is more active and popular than British Pop (I don't think they really even have any)

You appear as a hick,and also Brits mostly listen to british music(which is the correct way to sing) a lot in the UK,people on x box must be losers in their parents basement.

I don't know anyone who mkaes fun of the American accent.. though when they do that on xbox just think about who it is.. young boys. They're doing it to get a response from you.
