What is wrong with my car?

I have a 2007 pontiac G6 with 120,000 miles on it. The oil pressure light comes on whenever there is sudden acceleration, like after a stop light or to pass. The oil level is fine and the temperature never goes up. I was thinking it may just be a faulty pressure sensor but the fact that it only comes on when I accelerate makes me wonder. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

You could probably get away with checking with your local GM Dealer as well. Maybe give them a call or bring it in and ask them what they think.

    Good luck on your repairs.

sounds like the oil sending unit or a weak oil pump.

most likely it is the pressure sensor. replace it when you can or continue to see the light.
