Which guitar is better quality or would be better for a beginner the Gibson les paul special II or the junior?

i may be wrong but i think the junior is the one with only one pickup. i used to own a special 2 until just last friday, ill be replacing it today. but anyway, get the special 2, its a piece of crap, but for a starter it will be fine. just know that if you find you like guitar, than you will soon get it replaced. i had mine for about 6 months and then sold it to get more money for a new guitar.

Are we talking Gibson or Epiphone? I'm not aware of a Gibson Les Paul Special II. The Gibson Les Paul Jr. is an awesome guitar, but if we're talking Epi I'd go for the Special II.
