any suggestions on how to keep bugs out of a sand box THAT HAS A LID.?

I ve been researching different 1s and the reviews all say bugs and water gets in.Either because the lid doesn't fit on the way it should,or because it has to have holes in it to prevent burning from over heating.So any suggestions?

    Line the bottom of the sandbox with landscaping fabric. The fabric will prevent the moisture from sitting in the sand box and that will keep out the bugs. The most important thing is to make sure that you have a lid and a bottom to the sandbox to prevent bugs from hanging out in the sandbox, also, make sure to keep the sand as dry as possible.

    Try putting duck tape around the the lid
