I lived in Columbus Ohio for many years. It will take a minute to explain.

Ohio is a really interesting state that can be divided into very different cultural areas. Northeast Ohio-ans are very much like new englanders. They don't normally say "Hi " to you when you walk down the street. They tend to have more liberal political and social views and have higher educational levels. They also tend to be a little more street smart and very multi cultural..The majority of people are Democrats

Northwest Ohio is very much like the mid-west America ( excluding Lima OHio which is drug infested) There are many farmers and the people tend to be Caucasians. They have more conservative views politically and socially. The majority of people are Republicans

Then there is the Southern Ohio area which is a Bible-Belt area . They even have a different accent---it sounds a little more southern. The poverty level in South- Eastern Ohio is high. These people have more of an Appalachian culture. Lots of hunting and fishing there and it is really beautiful----- but it also has a high teen pregnancy rate and low higher education rate.

Now Columbus Ohio is right smack dab in the middle so you get a little of all of these things---plus it is a large city so you get the regular inner city poverty and drugs. It does have Ohio State University but it wasn't very safe when I went there and I wasn't really happy with the education.

So no I would not say it is a cow town---if you put down what you are looking for maybe i could help more

Assuming it replaced right into a 20 megaton nuclear weapon, you would be thouroughly f*cked. The nuclear flash might ignite everythingw interior 25-40 5 miles, presented there are no longer any mountains interior the way. interior seventy 5-80 miles the blast wave might rip your place and the different structures off its initiating, and the back stress might disinegrate each and every thing else. The fallout might holiday for thousands of miles, no count if it incredibly is a floor effect. If the nuke replaced into air detonated, there could be much less fallout. there are extremely some variables in touch, you may desire to be particular.

I live in Columbus. It's not some hick town or anything, but a lot of its culture seems manufactured/fake to me. IDK, there's a fair amount of snobby rich people here but the area around OSU is pretty cool and authentic. There are a LOT of good restaurants here, btw. Columbus has a large Asian population (at least near OSU) so there are a ton of great Asian restaurants.

I've never really been downtown, so I can't comment on that.

Columbus is really nothing like Cleveland, btw. Just throwin' it out there since the commenter below me mentioned Cleveland.

It reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZzgAjjuqZM&NR=1

I know its about Cleveland, but Colombus isn't that far away so I assume its very similar
