Can a high school student take a community college class?

Like, in the summer? 'Cause I want to learn Spanish, and my parents are too bust to teach me, so they suggest I'll just take a course at HCC (Houston Community College). Can a high school student take community college course?

Update:

I'm already taking French at my high school, but I don't want to give it up.

Yes do it and it will count towards highschool credits so you can also take one less class during the school year and get out early.

Yes. I believe you need to fill out some paperwork from the college that states that you have permission from your high school to take the course. They call it early college in your area.
