Physics light diffraction - find wavelength?

Violet light that has a wavelength of 4.08x10^2 nm passes through two slits that are 0.0113 cm apart. How far away must the screen be so the first-order image is at 0.317 cm?

The answer should be in meters.

    L = x . d / λ = 3.17 . 10^–3 . 1.13 . 10^–4 / 4.08 . 10^–7 = 0.878 m

    In a medium with refractive index of n, wavelength of any mild is one million/n of its wavelength in vacuum. With that in the time of concepts, your new diffraction formulation is sin theta = m( (wavelength/n) / slit width).
