Theists: Did morals exist before religion?

Some theists (I'm not going to label them as any one particular type) post questions here everyday asking where atheists get their morals from.

Does this infer that they think morality is impossible without religion? If so, do you or they think that everyone was immoral before your religion gained popularity?

If morality did exist before your religion, then why can't we atheists be just as moral as you theists?

*Note: I will give no 'thumbs down' to anyone who answers, even the trolls..

Update:

Edit: Sabbs - "The Creator existed before it all" : That has nothing to do with my question, thanks. By the way - Who Created Your Creator? Don't get me started.

Update 2:

Edit 2: Te Rex - "The FACT that God existed before all else" - Look at you, redefining what a "fact" is. That's adorable. Now prove it. I'll wait.

well 9 of the ten commandments existed in the laws of egypt, babylon, and sumeria before the bible stories were written--so I'd say--the hebrews simply plagarized existing laws into their emerging religous mythology.

God's true religion was started on Day Seven of the Creation Week - - -

God taught Adam & Eve everything and started on that very first Sabbath,

and morality is impossible without God's true religion . . .

The FACT that God existed before all else has everything to do with your question,

Just like the big bang and abiogenesis has everything to do with evolution -

But don't get me started on that.

Morality isn't defined outside of a Creator. Morality refers to universal law which requires a lawgiver which can only be God. Such laws exist whether or not people recognize them.
