Does being black mean that you must be liberal otherwise you are an Uncle Tom?

I’m white, however I have a number of black friends, most of whom are liberal. The one black friend that I have that is conservative is often referred to as being an Uncle Tom on many issues that many black and white liberals think he should be liberal on. For example, he believes that welfare and food stamps are the reason why black poverty is still so high, however liberal thought thinks opposite. He also generally thinks tax cuts on business is a good idea to encourage economic growth. For this he was chastised. I have also noticed many people here on YA make comments about other prominent black conservatives like Allen West, Herman Cain and Clarence Thomas as being Uncle Tom’s, and generally think that there is nothing racist about it which I find major exception to.

So is it safe to say that most liberals think black people are Uncle Tom’s if they are not liberal?

The left puts the blacks on a intercity plantation and promises to provide for them as long as they vote for the liberal candidate.

And the blacks that wise up to it are degraded, along with anyone else that sees it for what it is.

It appears that way but it is not so. We call them uncle toms because they benefited from a system of liberal and progressive equality that they are now trying to destroy to keep traditional elites in power.

I'm not saying that being against welfare and tax-cuts make one an uncle tom, but being against economic measures that bring equality to the traditionally downtrodden minorities and have since the 60s, is a form of protecting elites that would have kept them down.

I can't believe how much overtly conspiratorial racism is happening on this page. This is elitist brainwashing at it's finest.

The conservative agenda widens the income disparity gap and pushes many blacks back into poverty, this is done with the help of black conservatives.

Black oppression through entitlements is the dumbest concept I've ever heard and could only be believed by someone that actually thought Capitalism would actually make everyone rich.

Also, I would say that EATING improves the quality of life.

Here's the deal Hawk.  Conservatives by definition either want things to stay the way they are, OR want things to be like they used to be in the past.  They don't like change.  Why in the hell would any minority want things to be like they were in the past?  Think about it.  Minorities want change and acceptance.  Conservatism doesn't really offer that, but liberalism does.

Hawk, are you just flat out ignorant?  Move to the South.  Get in good with the good old boys in the small towns.  You'll see then what their secret wish is.  Also, whites in the South that vote solid Republican now, were the Democrats back in Jim Crow days.  The parties have swapped roles and have ever since Nixon started his "Southern Strategy".  You really need to get up to speed on this stuff.
