Will this News Article add fuel to the mixed breed fad?

That woman was on my local news (I'm in Ca). It was the ONLY time I felt compelled to email my news station because I was so disgusted. She claimed to be a "puppy liaison" and said she only bought from her exclusive sources in the mid-west. Ummm no, you are a BROKER who buys from PUPPYMILLS.

The news station pulled the link tot he womans information within an hour off of their website.

Unfortunately, too many people like this exist. It is something that really bugs me. That mindset of "I don't care what the other implications are. I want it, so I should get it." We are turning into a nation of over-indulged, spoiled brats.

Would you expect the "Journal of the Academy of Canine Behavioral Theory" (it really exists) to give you sound advice on buying stocks and bonds? No! So why on earth should anybody believe an article about dogs in the Wall Street Journal?

I think it sucks that this is such a fad. I personally love mutts. I think a lot of mutts are cuter than a lot of purebred dogs. These "designer dogs" though are fugly. The only one I like is cockapoos. I do hate the mass production of these mutts though. It's one thing to cross 2 different breeds for a specific purpose, but it's just disgusting to pump out mutts like they're things.

Im sorry but hearing all them names pisses me off! They are mutts!!! People are selling mutts for hundreds of dollars!! What has this world came to!! They are not custom breeds, or designer dogs they are MUTTS!!!!

no article needed to fuel the fad ... if you read the article it is perfectly clear designer dogs are wanted and are not going anywhere ... and someone just posted this article a page or so back ... already been a discussion ...
