Spiritually asking Why are people idiots?

Stupid is free and requires no effort. It will always be.

Depends on what you mean by the term “idiot” which to me means “to pursue that which is fruitless” so in my lexicon even smart people can be “idiotic” about certain things.

Now if you are referring to the uniformed or less educated then that is not idiotic because not everyone is endowed with the ability to learn as fast as those in the “normal” category according to societal statistics that define what is considered normal.

If it is these that you are calling idiots then I would take offense and hope you never have to deal with a family member who suffers from mental deficiency or even partial retardation because that could well have been you or any one of us.

What makes people idiots? Practice!!

Actually, I think self-righteousness and insecurity have a lot to do with it, but that's just my theory.

You're gonna have to be specific. I'm pretty sure you are considered an idiot by at least one person. "Idiot" seems like a term you can throw around at people who disagree with you. I tend to avoid it except when a specific example calls for it.

Most are just taught the wrong things, and so grow up thinking that way.

Actually we were all kinda born that way. Humans by nature are sinful, prideful, arrogant etc... etc.... so yeah without God, we are idiots! With God, we are still idiots, but with His grace, His wisdom and love can shine through our foolish ways...
