Growing parsley and basil, need advice?

So my hubby and I planted basil and parsley seeds about 6 weeks ago. They have now grown into "plants", small plants that is. The parsley is sprouting it's 5th real leaf, and the basil has it's 5th and 6th upper-leaves poking through.

I know we have too many plants too close together, and wanted your advice on spacing. The parsely plants are roughly 5 cms apart for the time being. Should I thin them out to every 10cms? As for thee basil, how much space does each plant require? I still have 2 plants growing in each initial "hole", and each hole was aslo roughly 5-6cms apart.

Also, do both herbs require daily/every-other-day watering?

Thanks in advance.

Thin out both the parsley and basil plants about six inches apart -- if they grow like they should, and I'm sure they will if you've been successful starting from seed, you will definitley need the room! Watering is up to what the weather is doing, it's good to keep the dirt damp but not soaked because there's a fungus that can attack itself to basil if the soil is too wet, so just check it daily and make your own judgment call. A little tip about the parsley -- there is such a thing as a parsley worm, I despise worms, but this thing really is beautiful, a light green and black stripe, but it will chomp your parsley right down to the soil in no time. They turn into the most gorgeous butterflies, and your parsley will grow back vigorously from an attack, but usually, gardeners plant a couple of extra parsley plants away from the others just to keep the worms happy, and to propagate the butterflies, just get them to roll onto a piece of cardboard and relocate them onto the other plants. Good luck!

The final spacing for both basil and parsley seedlings should be 20-25 cm (8-10"), not 10 cm (4"). You'll get a lot more leaf area, and healthier plants, on this spacing than on the tight spacing you're considering. Overcrowded plants are stressed, more susceptible to pests and diseases, and yield lower than plants set on proper spacing.

Both parsley and basil need regular water, daily or every other day, especially in hot weather.

"Did I water it no longer sufficient? (once you think approximately that by skill of the tip of their lives i replaced into desperately watering them different circumstances an afternoon" there is your answer. You drowned them. Herbs decide to be planted in the floor, finished sunlight...mine (SC) get No color and are thriving.
