Technically ~ politically (so to speak), it has a bearing on this nation (UK), and it can matter to a greater or lesser degree to a great many people ..particularly given who his mother was and what happened.

I don't personally feel much about it, but then I don't personally know either of them, and that counts as to whether or not if I care. If I did know them personally, then my caring may well arise within me.

I stood and watched as Diana's hearse drove along the Motorway close to where I used to live, not because it / she mattered that much to me, but as much out of curiosity about the hundreds of other ordinary people who went to wait and stand and watch as this car with outriders made they way north to where she was to be buried.

There are those who get called 'Guitar or Rock Hero's'. whilst others through their work sacrifice something of their self for the sake of others, because they 'care.

As the saying goes, 'The proof of the pudding is in the eating', and that is an event that comes 'later'.

    Sash.

I am actively avoiding all articles and film clips about this. But then, I actively avoid most "celebrity news". This means that I don't know (or care) who is divorcing whom, or what a certain starlet wore (or didn't wear) under her miniskirt, or about someone's new diet or philosophy.

This means that my fund of small talk is rather limited, in some cases, because I also don't watch much TV. However, I get by with deeper talk.

Fortunately, it's not as big a deal in USA, unless you watch certain "entertainment news" TV shows, which I don't.

I never really thought about it before, but he's the oldest kid, and next in line for being King, isn't he? So she'd be Queen? Or do they have some other term, similar ot Prince Escort? So I guess his choice in a mate IS a big deal for the Brits.

You're not the only one. I think the coverage of the wedding is absurd. This shouldn't be a priority on TV. Especially considering what's going on in Japan.

I don't care about 80% of the things the media cares about.

    Including this.

Haha no, you're not the only one. I don't get the whole royal family thing. I just don't get it. They're not special or anything, they weren't elected in, they have no power or authority, they use taxpayer money for the upkeep of their castle or whatever it is they live in, I just don't see the point of them. They're just important because people there say they're important. It's ridiculous.

No. I really don't care about it or how a certain future princess has lost 5 pounds, or what dresses she is wearing.

If you don't care, why do you find it necessary to proclaim your indifference?

Check out the Royalty section. Someone posts this exact question every few minutes.

    Source(s): I care. I'm British.

No John... most people could care less. The media just likes to make a bigger deal out of things than they are.

Sorry I don't really care either!
