Because Lamar made the ultimate sacrifice to sit on the bench so pau and bynum can start. He's proven how versatile he can be off the bench. He can come intothe game for literally any player and be effective. Lamar deserved it after years of sacrifice as a bench players.

No, seriously, he HAD TO start those games. There was no other option for him, nor for P-Jax. Moreover 82-35 = 47. This means he played more off the bench than as a starter.
