can a valve above the submersible well be used for watering a garden?

I have not seen a silcock located on the line directly above the wellcap before. there is another

faucet located on a tee near the pressure tank, but too low toi fasten a garden hose.

I have a lawn irrigation well that has a faucet a foot or so off the ground (hidden in shrubbery) so that well water can be used for gardening or car washing or even filling a pool. I never use mine because the irrigation system zone with the faucet in it has to be running while you use the water, and that's a pain.

Watering restrictions are another issue. Besides, your well water may contain stuff and things that you wouldn't want on your corn or carrots or car, and you probably really wouldn't be comfortable swimming in it... ;-)
