Ramadan: why can't believers..?

..and nonbelievers be together?

Surely a merciful God would allow such a partnership.

Update:

I mean together as in dating, marriage, things like that.

Update 2:

majeed,

"Do you not see in this Ramadan section how filthy language Christians use against

Muslims and our Prophet Mohammad SAW. How can we be together with them?"

If you are the ones to set an example for others, then do so and

ignore the nonsense they say against you and The Prophet.

"How can you expect believers in one God can be together with godless unbelievers people who have no fear of God All Mighty and commit atrocities and murders of innocent people like they did to Iraqi people though Iraqis did nothing against USA?"

To start with, we can stop with all the generalizations. Just because I lack belief in deities doesn't mean I approve of many of the things you've named or that I lack sympathy for victims of war.

Update 3:

"it's the best for everyone involved." "over time it becomes increasingly and increasingly difficult to overcome differences." "I wouldn't want to put my own kids through that kind of stress." "Another thing to keep in mind is that in Islam, it's crucial to live by the idea that when you marry someone, it's as if you marry his/her family as well." "it would be unrealistic and naive to think that it wouldn't be challenging to make it work."

I respectfully disagree, but I find your answer both sufficient and enlightening. Thank you Lena.

Trust me, it's the best for everyone involved. Intimate relationships may start out great at first, but over time it becomes increasingly and increasingly difficult to overcome differences.

I have a strong faith in God, and personally I can't see myself being with someone who doesn't share that kind of belief with me. I've seen it happen with my own eyes how easy it is for those relationships to simply fall apart, especially along with the children, and I wouldn't want to put my own kids through that kind of stress. Another thing to keep in mind is that in Islam, it's crucial to live by the idea that when you marry someone, it's as if you marry his/her family as well. My mom is always telling me, "Silat al-rahim," which basically means to maintain kinship. These two people (the couple) come from two completely different worlds; it would be unrealistic and naive to think that it wouldn't be challenging to make it work.

Do you not see in this Ramadan section how filthy language Christians use against Muslims and our Prophet Mohammad SAW. How can we be together with them? They live sinful life having sex in school age and commit adultery after their marriages, rich cheat poor, politician take huge bribes from big corporation to make laws only for the best interest of corporation so they can suck all money of middle class and poor, they vote in favor of giving rich the maximum tax break but want to cut benefits of elderly.

They hate all who do not have fair skin color like theirs own, discriminate against Blacks, Mexicans, Muslims, and Asians. These politicians start wars for the benefit of weapon manufacturers, vote in favor of gun manufacturers though they know very well that if guns are banned in country murders will be reduced to almost nothing.

USA has thousands of atomic bombs but doesn't want small countries to have same bombs for their own defense They have right to stop others to have bombs only if they destroy all the bombs they have.

How can you expect believers in one God can be together with godless unbelievers people who have no fear of God All Mighty and commit atrocities and muders of innocent people like they did to Iraqi people though Iraqis did nothing against USA.

They most certainly can, if you take politics out of the equation and deal according to justice and equity beginning with the Middle East.

we are allowed to be kind and just to All people according to what Allah (swt) said in Qur'an :

    Qur'an [60:8]

God does not forbid you from being kind and acting justly towards those who did not fight over faith with you, nor expelled you from your homes. God indeed loves those who are just.

because Christians and Muslims hate those who do not believe as they do.It is the believers who follow the supposed word of god that cannot accept others, not the atheists who really could care less.
