Do people in England speak English?

You raise an interesting point one that I am not able to answer fully. The best person to ask is the Queen herself, she visits all of her subjects on Tuesdays (unless it is a Bank Holiday week then it is Wednesday). She'll be the one with the unicorn and lion, you can't miss her.

Yea, people like me from "England" can speak English. English was first born in England okey!!

We use French in our English because it sounds beautiful and it makes sense to us.

American English is like our old English but modernized. It also has a bit of Latin but I don't know Latin so yeah just read it (harry potter) and find words you don't know (my bit of advice)

I assume you mean United Kingdom which if I am not mistaken is England, North Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Not to be confused with Great Britian (which you obviously did) which holds most of England, Scotland, and Wales. America, and England, along with a multitude of other countries speak English. Terminology is different (ie, a lift in other places is an "elevator" in the US. As far as your reference to Norway check this link or, take a world history class http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norway. It truly saddens me to see posts like this. I am not ignorant, as you are. However I get lumped in with the generalized statement that Americans are stupid. By the way, just thought I would throw in that French people (those who live in France) speak French, not "France Language".

No, in the US we speak English, not American. In England they speak English. The other countries you speak of are in Europe, not England. They speak their native language as well as many others, including English. You need to get a globe.

I saw this as a demotivational poster and had to see if this was a real post. Unfortunately for mankind, it is. While American isn't a language, Geography is a school subject. Take it!
