Personally being a person who has had software for Xbox Live hacking, but never used it to harm people. I know that it is 100% possible because I have hacked accounts back for people. Never really trust anybody unless you know them in real life. Also, those phishing sites don't really work now if you are smarter than the average consumer. There are also ways to hack your rank in games, gamerscore, gamertag... Basically anything you really want, but that would be dumb to do because then you would be easier to catch and get your Xbox 360, account, and IP banned in a heartbeat. I try to look out for people so they can have a safe and fun gaming environment.

Even though it is not as often as game accounts on computers, Yes it is very possible to Hack an Xbox 360 account, I actually used to have a couple of friends who hacked Xbox live accounts for free games, achievement points, and gamerpoints.

I've never heard of 360 gamertags being hacked, just stupid people falling for trick websites saying "free microsoft points just enter email and password" PS don't fall for that.

PSN relies far more heavily on individual, public hosts than xbox live does... I wouldn't say it is impossible, but it is far less likely

  • Yes, and it did before when it was down for around 2 weeks.
