difference between Core 2 Duo and i5 processors in the new Macbook Pro?

Hi! :)

I'm looking at buying a Macbook Pro and there are 2 that I'm struggling to chose between. The first is what I believe to be the 2010 model with the Core 2 Duo processor, the second is the 2011 model with a core i5 processor. However, the second one is also £300 more expensive. My question is, is the difference in processor enough to justify the difference in price? (I'll be running firefox, office, itunes, painter and photoshop simulateously)

Here are the specs I've been given of both machines in case it helps;
2.3GHz Intel Core i5
4Gb RAM 1333 MHz
320Gb HDD
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 256 MB
Intel HD Graphics

Intel 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU
4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Memory
500GB HDD
9400M ATI GPU
SD Card Reader

Try again. The first model you listed does not exist. The GT330M was only on the 2010 models, and only on the 15", but there was never a 2.3ghz i5 15" 2010 Macbook Pro. The second is a 2009 model.

If the video card on the first is just an error and that's a 2011 13" model then it's worth the increase in price.
