    x + 4y < 8; subtract x from both sides

    x - x + 4y < -x + 8; simplify

    4y < -x + 8; divide all terms by 4

    4y/4 < -x/4 + 8/4; solve

    y < (-x/4) + 2

    To graph this all you have to do is make a data table and draw your line with a dotted line because it's not less than or equal to. Also, you'll want to shade all the points below the line. View the graph by clicking on the following link
