Will there be sex in heaven?

It is an interesting question that I have contemplated from time to time.

The stance that we will be like the Angels is a strong one.

However it could be speculated that since there is a New-Earth

(as well as a New-Heaven) who is going to populate the New-Earth?

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and

the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

Another thing to consider is God's promise to Abraham.

I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the

sky and will give them all these lands, and through your

offspring all nations on earth will be blessed,

I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth,

so that if anyone could count the dust, then your

offspring could be counted.

The number on earth is always going to be a finite number, but the number in heaven is going to be an infinite number. Whether God intended this to be taken literally is unsure.

But if one considers how many people have lived on earth so far, it still falls far short of an extra-large number next to infinity. The number is approximately 106 trillion.

Further not all of these are going to be saved.

The next scripture to consider is....

**Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end.**

He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing

and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on

and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

Once again if this is to be taken literally there will be no

end to His government, no end to the number of people.

The next thing to consider is how will the children enter the world in respect to.....

To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;

with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your

husband, and he will rule over you."

One would assume it was God's original intention

that giving birth was not a painful process.

After all these considerations the Mark 12v25 scripture doesn't rule it out, it only tells us we will be like the angels and not marry. It doesn't say that Angels don't have the capability.

the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were

beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

....it is believed that these "sons of God" were angels.

Absolutely not!!! Matthew 22:30 - "For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven." Since angels of God in heaven do not have sex, and since Jesus said in that scripture that we will be as the angels of God in heaven, we won't have sex either.

No. Not reason to need it. When we go to heaven, we don't have the wants and/or desires like we do in this life here on earth.
