I am not sure why I keep on forgetting things?
For some reason, I have forgotten to the lock door several times. It's really getting annoying. It really sucks. I am not sure if it's because I've been stressed a lot, but forgetting things has been a problem since childhood to some extent. I work very hard at it, but I sometimes keep getting on a row and do fine and then go back. I have also lost many things. It usually happens when there is too much pressure. But, it's normal to have pressure in life, right? Other people have pressure. I am not sure what's the cause and what to do....
I just want to get better at remembering things and not losing things. I could add my desk is rather messy. I would say my mind doesn't seem ordered. I do well over all in life, and I am somewhat successful, but too scatter brained.

It sounds like the onset of an obsessive/compulsive thing with door locks setting in. Just don't develop some ritual to remember to lock them and after awhile you'll be ok.

Your problem is normal and people tend to forget and under-perform many things while being pressured. Many people do that and it is just your brain trying to compensate for the pressure, which leads to forgetting important things. Maybe because you have a lot on your mind, you forget the instinctive things.
Sometimes, people might suffer from anxiety disorders or ADD/ADHD where it becomes extremely difficult to concentrate, you lose focus, you become very nervous, etc. I suffer from OCD and Social-Anxiety Disorder, but you probably don't have that. Consult your doctor if you think it is a recurring issue that may interfere with your life. Sometimes, a doctor may recommend anxiety medication, yet I would advise you not to use them because of the side effects.
A common form of forgetfulness is called lethologica where you tend to forget important words and places. It is fairly common and isn't very serious. If you feel that your forgetfulness is extremely serious, then ask a doctor about whether you might have early symptoms of Dementia, such as Alzheimer's. Though these cognitive impairments don't set in until the ages of 55 and 60, some symptoms may be prevalent, especially if it is in your genes, because Dementia is a genetic disease.
I hope this helped answer your question. Sorry it was so long. Thanks! If you need help remembering things, just get a planner or a schedule book where you can remind yourself to do things. You can even just write your plans on a bunch of sticky notes and place them in places you frequent often.
