boyfriend in court for driving offences - likely outcome?

he's been charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance, and speeding (37 in a 30 zone)

He has been in court before for driving without a license and got an 18 month ban.

Likely outcome this time anyone?

Update:

n.b. he wasn't driving whilst banned

Honest opinion? They will throw the book at him.

Would be lucky if he got off with a further ban and a heavy fine and/or community service. But its not going to be in his favour considering he has done this before. Good luck.

    "n.b. - he wasn't driving whilst banned"

I dont believe that he wasn't driving whilst banned - I think he was driving whilst banned, he just didn't get caught driving whilst banned, he got caught after his ban had expired and not before it.

Or do you seriously think that anyone with half a brain cell would really think that your boyfriend didn't drive whilst banned, waited until it has expired and then decided to start driving illegally? Or would they think he has always been driving illegally?

I can assure you the magistrate will have more than half a brain cell and decide he has been driving throughout his ban, but didn't get caught.

Your boyfriend obviously hasn't learnt his lesson - do you have a driving licence? only prisons can be tricky places to get to on public transport

should be jail time, 2nd offence and all that.

hell lose his licence AGAIN, if hes driving whilst banned could be 18 months in jail. They may make an example of him, depends on the judge. A fine and licence lost but looks to me like jail time too

If I was the judge I would ban him for life, plus a prison sentence.

with this being his second time he could go to jail for up to a year

along with fines and a much longer driving ban

I think he can expect a jail term, and it's a good thing because he hasn't learnt anything.

If he's not insured and injures or kills someone they get nothing.

He's been lucky. That sort of luck won't last forever.

hopefully he'll serve a prison sentence this time, he's taken no notice whatsoever from his previous conviction has he. he needs to grow up and face his responsibilities, idiot!
