Local contractors just caught , some school teachers renovating a house?

not only had they been doing dry wall, they had engaged in structural carpentry , electrical and plumbing,with out the proper permits its bad enough they are stealing work from contractors they are also endangering the general public, should we report them and will any one actually do anything

    People can report another to your local building inspector for work without permit. Doing your own renovations is not stealing work..nothing wrong with DIY. Structural work is a big no no...it must be approved by a structural engineer, so there could be a lot of fines..definitely stop work order until all the proper professionals have been brought in and the work approved by them and then by the city inspector/building official.
