Why can't people in america think critically?
they believe everything the corporate owned media and government tells them. i bet u guys dont know that reagan trained and funded osama bin laden and al qeada was created by the cia. this is all proven. what about the 200+ innocent people held a gitmo. the only thing your country is good at is bombing brown people. you cant teach your fellow citizens to read, give them health care, get them off the streets and a place to live, etc. you people are immoral and you judge other countries when they are 10x better than your pathetic corporate run country of mindless idiots and drones.
im not in europe im in asia and common sense told me that
obama is just like bush and you all voted for him because hes black. u think he is so different but hes not.

You're right, Americans have been dumbed down and know more about who's winning dancing with the stars or the latest doings of Lindsey Lohan. Then take the bunch who listen to the talk radio and are told what to think, critical thinking is bankrupt in this country and the truth doesn't seem to matter. Good examples are Bush using disinfomration to make people think Iraq had something to do with 9-11..so he could invade, or how about the outting of a former ambasdores wife as a CIA operative... so people stopped paying attention to what he was trying to tell them, or the more recent birther nonsense theory claiming Obama isn't an American. If Americans were critical thinkers and could tell the difference between fact & fiction.. things would be much different.

Al Qaeda was not created by CIA, they were funded. And many organizations that were funded by CIA changed into terrorists when they started out as defenders of territory against enemies of our nation at that time.
Those 200+ people held in Gitmo are ALL guilty, you and I both know this. They wouldn't even be suspected if there was no reason. If anything, everybody there should be burned.
Why do all the smart people from your nation come to ours to learn? Because we're better than you. Fact.

Wow, troll much? You're right that most Americans are ignorant of our past, but I seriously doubt any country is 10x better. I guess it matters on what you value. I personally value freedom over security. I don't want healthcare, a place to live, food, or anything else given to me; the freedom I would give up in return is far more valuable. Also, don't forget that we have provided the world with PCs, iPods, pharmaceuticals, etc.... ad infinitum. America isn't perfect, but I don't think it's terrible. Good luck in everything you do, and I recommend you read Economics in One Lesson.

Why bash the American people for what it's government may or may not do? We elect our leaders, yes but we don't control them when they get into office. You're in Asia, so you say, did you elect your leader or are you under government control? Can you speak out against your leaders and government? Can you picket without the threat of imprisonment or getting beat up by the military? As a citizen of one of the greatest nations on earth I can proudly say that I CAN speak out against my president and my government WITHOUT the threat of imprisonment or being bodily harmed and I can say that I PROUDLY use my right to vote for my representatives, thank you very much.

I will wait to hear from you as to which Asian nation has all these things or is some how better than America. but then again I would not expect someone not in the country to know that generalizing a population is actually a means of showing that you are critically thinking in any shape or form.

Sure you're not in Canada? I ask because you say, "You guys." ;P
Anyways, this is old news, we are all aware, and we have current affairs to deal with. And you make no sense.
You just said our government can't feed and house, can't educate, can't provide health care for the poor, and yet we should...put more money into these failing systems? How would that make sense?

Because they have been dependant on the media, which is constantly spewing out propaganda. And because the idea of their own country doing this to them is too horrifying to think about. They choose to remain ignorant, and will pay the price.

I know. The proof of that is in the White House...a guy with no experience gets elected to run the country because of his skin color, and because the media hyped him up. People need to learn to think for themselves...this is the downfall of this country, and why we are about to no longer be #1 in the world.

Remember all those "brown" serbs we bombed. We bombed a sh*t ton of German civilians too.
Maybe your narrow mind does not see the world for what it is and you are every bit the pathetic drone you claim others are. It certainly looks that way.

So, we should be like......... N.Korea?
Just have a dictator who tells us what we can and can't do. How much money we can make, how much food we can have? No elections?
RE: I didn't vote for Obama. Get a clue.
