Is it a good time to start french kissing with my gf?

I've been with my gf lets just say it's been a month now. We've already broken the physical barrier (as in holding hands, cuddling, and other non sexual forms of touching). We have kissed 3 or 4 times now. Yeah it may seem a bit soon, but her and I seemed to just click the moment we started seeing each other (we've had a long friendship, but it didn't really develop until a year or so ago). We are very intimate at times. LIke when we cuddle it sometimes lasts for about an hour and a half. So now to my question, is it time? What hints should I start with? Slightly opening my mouth while kissing, or should I just go for it and touch her lips with my tongue and see if she opens up? I've read other answers to this question and people have said to talk to her about it, but that seems kinda awkward, "what do u think about french kissing?" See? Any suggestions are appreciated.
