My friend and I can't connect on xbox live?
We can't join each others parties or games and I have no idea why. We used to be able to just fine and both of our NAT types are open. It's been like this for the past few weeks and it's getting out of hand. I'm open to any suggestions.
we've both already tried resetting the modem and the router but to no avail.

Try resetting your modem and router, that usually fixes the problem. The modem is what connects to a cable in the wall and your router, the router is what your xbox connects to. Unplug your router and reset the modem (reset button? if there is no reset button then unplug the modem) wait about 30 seconds (if unplugged plug it in now) wait till all the lights go back to normal (should take about 1 minute) then plug the router back in. Wait about 30 seconds to a minute and test your internet connection. Everything should work now! Hope this helps!
