I get this message: "Ouch! The error, LaunchFFC-1, occurred when trying to connect to Yahoo! Mail." Why?
I've seen other people ask this question as early as last January and last month. I've just experienced this issue today. It is very important that I get access to my email asap. I'm in the middle of a job hunt/search and need to get back to potential companies! I was perfectly fine until all of a sudden, I kept getting this error message: "The error, LaunchFFC-1, occurred when trying to connect to Yahoo! Mail." It really threw me off. And, why is this just affecting certain people? My mother logged in on my laptop onto her account, and hers pops up just fine. I'm really confused. Another thing, I'm really disappointed with Yahoo's customer service. I've tried and tried to speak to a live, breathing, human being and all I got are automated voice messages and RUDE people who were NO help whatsover! As I type, I've been on hold for about 45 mins already! Is this what we get for using a service that's free to us? Why couldn't Yahoo post this issue on their site so their members are aware of it as well as not making us have to search about it online???? All I know is, I need access to my email asap!

Many are unable to access their mail now.
They hope to have it fixed soon, In the meantime, you can click one of these links to access your mail, it's basic, no frills, but it works. http://us.m.yahoo.com/p/mail or: http://uk.m.yahoo.com/p/mail or: http://id.m.yahoo.com/p/mail
Not a guarantee these will work at this time. But you can try

I'm no expert but I'm having the same issue. In researching answers to others having the same problem, I ran across someone who said to try accessing Yahoo Mail through m.yahoo.com. It worked for me but it's an ancient format without all the bells and whistles. Hopefully it will at least get you in so you can read and respond to email. Good luck.
m.yahoo.com (once you get to the site, click on the word MAIL in the upper right corner)

I did get to a live CS agent after 50 minutes, but when he asked me to check for the error message, my email was restored. He claimed that no one reported any outages, but I think he was told to say that. Hopefully yours will be back as well. The guy I spoke to was not rude, but as you did, I waited an inordinate amount of time I was also on Live Chat for an hour and no one was available.
