Build Dream Home or Wait?
We have land in a nice custom home community. Should we build and take advantage of the great low rates we may never see again or wait until the economy freakiness dies down? Our house will be paid off this year so we could start saving even more money towards the new house if we wait. As it is we could put down 40-50% down (after the sale of our present house). But the economy has us really worried. We are teachers so we feel like our jobs are fairly safe. But then again...

Try listing your present home for sale and see if you get any good offers. If good enough to accept then start building you new home keep saving. Best Wishes.
