Does dutch immigration have a record of my entry/exit?

I am a non-EU citizen and I left the Netherlands after staying there for two years. When I presented my passport at the immigration, he simply asked to see my residence permit and then stamped my passport. I didn't catch him scanning my passport, probably I didn't notice it. But I am wondering if the immigration has a record of my entry and exit? I did remove my name from the city hall, but how do they know if you actually leave the country?

If you leave via Schiphol airport your passport is scanned and that information is stored for many, many years. Same goes for the removal of your name from city hall
