Why did I not get an apology?
Two hours ago there was loud banging on my apartment door with demands that I open the door with no announcement that they were the police. I peek through the door peep hole and see a bright light. I open the door to see two semi-automatic pistols pointed at my chest and was ordered to sit on my couch with my hands in the air. One cop kept a pistol pointed at me while the other cop looked around my apartment. A guy beat up his girlfriend in another building in the complex and someone told the cops that the perp ran into my apartment. After they were satisfied that I was innocent then they left without so much as an apology. Is it normal police behavior not to offer an apology when they make a mistake?

Give me a break. When is everyone going to stop bashing the police blindly. What have you done to make crime go away? When is the last time your buddy, friend, family was murdered because of some dumass?
And this - Only if your a minority,, only if your Italian, only if you drive a low rider. Stop giving people the ammo to keep stereotyping going.
NOT all cops are bad. Some have attitudes but you might also after getting spit at, garbage tossed at them.
Lets see. Stop concentrating to say oh sorry sir. We have the wrong place. WARRANT??? Last I checked is if they are in pursuit of an alleged criminal yes they can go in because of some intel neighbors gave to the police during the foot chase.
MISTAKE? Chasing a criminal - told that he was in your apartment. What mistake did they make? They went in thinking a crook was in there. You could have been held hostage by him or even killed.

You gotta get their badge # and names. On top of that, they had no right to enter your apartment. Hindsight's 20/20, and it's hard to know what do in an intense situation like that. Remember that cops are just a little more moral than the criminals they arrest. A lot come from military backgrounds, some are used to taking innocent lives without apologizing. Just remember, they are our only defense against the monkey thugs, and that's a big job.

Alright well you do deserve an apology... But they didnt say they were police beacuse if the perp was in ur house he could easily sneek out... but like after they were done searching they should have been all. "sorry for the intrusion sir." And they probably forgot to say it cuz maybe hes a wanted criminal nd they really badly needed to find him... or you kno cops are always assholes soo yeah xD

you need to know your rights man they can't go into your apartment without a warrant you could probably sue the police department or at the least get the two popo suspended or hopefully fired

Not unless your a minority...did you get heir names and badge numbers? Yea i think you should call the department ASAP you could file a report ans sue the sh!t out of them, and yea they were probably too embarrassed to admit fault
